In the first semi-final match of 2015 Australia Asian Cup, South Korea to take on Iraq football team on 26 January at Stadium Australia in Sydney. This is the consecutive third occasion for Korea Republic when they are making appearance in Asian Cup semi-final and team will be looking to qualify for the final for the first time since 1988 tournament.
This is the 3rd occasion for Iraq football roster when they are appearing in AFC Asian Cup semi-final as they played 1976 and 2007 competition’s semifinals.
Taeguk Warriors (Korea Republic football team) qualified for the semifinal by defeating Uzbekistan in first quarterfinal by 2-0 score whereas Iraq beat Iran in the third quarterfinal of the Asian cup by 7-6 score in the penalties.
South Korea has won all previous four game of the tournament comfortably and they haven’t conceded single goal in 2015 Asian Cup. On the other hand Iraq has worked hard to reach here in the semifinal. Korean side has tremendous art of shooting the goals as they have hit 55% target till now in the competition whereas Iraq has hit 54%.

This match is going to be exciting thriller as both sides make entry in this semifinal after so much drama in the quarterfinals.
So it will be interesting to see who will make appearance in 16th Asian Cup final to give itself a chance to get near to qualify for FIFA Confederations Cup 2017. First semifinal will start at 20:00 local time.
