Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has said that he is looking forward to see Stuart Binny batting at number 7 spot for India in 2015 world cup. He believes Binny’s pace bowling will help team in these Australia and New Zealand conditions. So he should play maximum games in the tournament. Sourav also said that Ashwin should also play good at that position.
Sourav Ganguly said, “I think there is still some uncertainty about the No 7 spot. I expect Stuart Binny to play most of the matches as the third medium-pace option. Then there is Ravindra Jadeja. I also expect R Ashwin to play a significant role at some stage.

He thinks both these bowlers should play warm-up match and show how much they are fit. Ganguly also says that Umesh and Shami should take rest ahead of world cup main event as both these players have bowled a lot in previous 2-3 months.

If they are not fit, replacements must be called in at the earliest. Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami have bowled a lot in the last two months and have been rightly given a rest before India’s first match.”

He said, ‘It does not do justice to the team. I think our boys will prove a lot of people wrong in the coming days. I expect them to make the semifinals. Thereafter, it is a question of having two good matches.”
India’s success in this world cup will be depending more on captain Dhoni. Ganguly think MS Dhoni’s leadership and batting will be key for Indian team to get succeed in the tournament.
“I expect them to rise to the occasion. A lot will depend on captain Dhoni. His form with the bat and his leadership will be the key for India. The team needs Dhoni to have a very good World Cup,” Ganguly added.
