Uruguay star striker Luis Suarez has unveiled that he lost three kilograms (6.6 lbs) weight before heading to Brazil for Copa America. Barcelona forward Suarez was suffering from knee injury and was in rehab process before playing for national team in 2019 Copa America. And in order to get fit, he lost 6.6 lbs weight.
“I lost three kilograms. We did all kinds of exercises to regain mobility. I worked with the first team nutritionist we have [at Barcelona]. I have shed some kilos, and now I feel lighter,” Suarez said in an interview to ESPN.
Luis Suarez looked fit when he returned to the field after recovering from knee injury. He was one of the scorers for Uruguay in the opening match of South American football championship where team defeated Ecuador by 4-0.
Uruguay and Suarez will next be in action on Thursday 20th June when they’ll be facing Japan in their next group match.
