Mumbai Indians are in talks with 2016 Indian Premier League Champion Sunrisers Hyderabad to get opener Shikhar Dhawan in their squad for the upcoming season. If three time IPL winner Mumbai acquires Dhawan services, we can witness Indian Cricket Team opening pair Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma batting together at the opening in IPL as well.
It would be a great addition to Mumbai’s top batting lineup if Mumbai and Hyderabad complete the trading process successfully. As per report from Mumbai Mirror, Shikhar is not happy with SRH team and management as he believes that he is not earning much money that he deserves.
Sunrisers Hyderabad bought Dhawan in IPL T20 players auction by using Right to Match card and paid 5.5 Crore rupees. Meanwhile David Warner got 12.5 Crore INR, Rashid Khan 9 Crore INR and Bhuivneshwar received 8.5 crore INR which are better than Dhawan’s.
As per MM report, Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma is also interested to have Dhawan in the side for Vivo IPL 2019. “If we get a couple of good players as a trade-off, we’re open to it,” an official from Sunrisers Hyderabad told Mumbai Mirror.
Royal Challengers Bangalore have already made the first trade of Indian Premier League 12th edition as they solde South African wicket-keeper batsman to Mumbai Indians few days back.
